There are some artists that do the bare minimum and cling onto their fame, and then there’s Melissa Etheridge. She’s a rocker chick, an advocate, a Broadway bombshell and she’s paved the way for female rock artists since the very beginning of her career. So when we heard she was coming to Wynn Las Vegas on July 12, 2019 at 8 p.m., we had a minor freak out.
Etheridge has roots that date back to the late ‘80s, and her music career blossomed with her debut album “Melissa Etheridge” that achieved double platinum status. That’s something you don’t see very often. She used that momentum to record 15 more albums, including “The Medicine Show” that was released in 2019. She’s gone six times platinum, won a Grammy and an Oscar, but the biggest win to date would be her stellar music career.
It’s time to hold up our phone lights and sway to her iconic music as she hits the Vegas stage.
