These boys weren’t always known as Gary Puckett & the Union Gap. When they formed in the ‘60s they were first called “The Outcasts.” It was all the rage back then to be “different,” these days we just call them hipsters. After they were signed in ’67 they released their first single “Woman Woman” and everyone decided they needed the vinyl. You can tell because they hit the million mark in sales four months after the release, which is pretty amazing because this was way before iTunes. After that they released Top 10 Billboard hits like “Young Girl,” “Lady Willpower” and “Over You.”
